Leni Kravac is the most alternative turbo-folk band. They mix all genres from drum'n'bass to jazz, funk and hiphop with the passion and power of Balkan melos. They know they're a party band and they love it.
The project started in 2011 as a DJ act, which transformed into a 7 piece band with concerts throughout Europe from Bratislava to Bosnia, from Serbia to Hungary, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia...
There was a plan to establish a band with the same sound and the right time to
make that move was when the right people got together. Gregor Volk is balkanizing for Leni on the guitar, Gregor Koderman
is banging the drums, vocals ranging from ambiental to crowd-lifting are
the domain of Tamara Goričanec and Milan Jerkic. Jasarov as the founding member is thumping
the bass and taking care of programming. Jaka Birsa makes the sax sound anything
from funky jazzy to Balkan.
Gašper Selko plays the trumpet
at an academic level and with much soul.
As every character of the group is unique, so is their sound.
